JohnnyMundyFit for climbing 9500 feet to Tiger’s Nest in Bhutan

In January of 2020, I turned 83 years old. On this proud day I was deep in the jungles of Bhutan, a Kingdom in the Himalayans. Shortly thereafter our eco tour group we offered the opportunity to climb to the famous Tiger’s Nest temple (“Taktsang” in Bhutanese), located 9500 ft. above sea level. Fortunately , due to working out with Johnny for over 10 years I was confident that I was ready and fit for the challenge.

I used my 2 walking sticks and upper body strength along with strong legs to go slowly and surely to the top. A step at a time..I was giving thanks to Johnny for each step for his excellent training that made it all possible. It was truly a spiritual experience made possible by being mentally and physically fit!!

When I first met John he helped me realize that you have to be mindful of what you are putting into your body and listen to how you are feeling. Each session or class I did John always made sure my form was correct and pushed me to limits I didn’t even know I could achieve.

For me after I met him and gained that personal relationship with him it was all about showing him what I could do. He always checked in on me every week and weekend to make sure I was on track with eating and would send me my own individual workouts on my off days with him. I always appreciated how attentive he was for me and my goals and would always ensure I did listen to my body and would take a rest day when needed. After a good 2 weeks of workouts and sessions and following his meal plan I started feeling better… not so bloated, and after 4 weeks I began to see a big difference in my body. I could tell I was toning up and I began to gain all this confidence I didn’t even know I had as an adult. After a month of training with john and working on my food my clothes were already fitting different and I was so happy with my results and the way I just felt beautiful.

John always made me feel important and always gave me encouragement and pushed me to be a better and healthier me. As cliché as this sounds, John changed my life and I would recommend Him as a trainer any and every day as I can never thank him enough for the impact he has made on my life.

Solid Training-Solid Results!

I have been a satisfied client of John Mundy Fitness for well over a year now. It hasn’t just become part of my week, but a way of life. He’s creative, motivating, and always keeps me on my toes and engaged because the workouts are constantly changing to fit my needs. It has completely changed my attitude towards exercise and making mindful decisions that get me closer to my goals. John always seems to find the encouragement and even when I may be down, working out an injury from skiing or cycling, he always has a positive way of looking at things. He truly has been instrumental toward my strength, recovery, and mobility. I can say with confidence I am not only stronger physically, but mentally with John Mundy Fitness and have no plans on slowing!
